Who is Annie Frances?
Meet Annie Frances, a seasoned performer whose dynamic and versatile voice has graced stages from her hometown of Sydney, Australia to the vibrant streets of New York City and around the globe.
Annie's musical journey began in the tropical landscapes of Northern Queensland, Australia, where she discovered her passion for music through clarinet and banjo lessons at the age of nine. However, it was her move to Sydney's North Shore in her mid-teens that ignited her love for singing, under the tutelage of John Charles Ferris.
Her career took an exciting turn when she had the privilege of training with Australia's music icon, Tommy Tycho, after being hand-picked at a Voice Productions Music Theatre and Performance Seminar. But it wasn't until the year 2000 that Annie took a bold leap, leaving behind a successful corporate career to become a professional international entertainer, a decision she has never regretted.
In the early days of her singing career, Annie rocked local Sydney venues as the charismatic frontwoman of a high-energy dance band. Her first taste of international fame came unexpectedly when she won the Sydney Cabaret Competition, earning an all-expenses-paid trip to perform at the 11th Annual New York Cabaret Convention.
Upon returning from New York, Annie crafted her one-woman show, which has since garnered multiple industry awards. Her remarkable journey includes performances across Australia, New York, international cruise lines, and numerous appearances on Australian television.
Today, Annie's eclectic repertoire spans popular favorites, Broadway musicals, multilingual classics, a dash of country, and even Swiss yodeling! This versatility showcases Annie's unique talent and show-stopping voice.
